MENA DECENTRALIZATION |
MENA Decentralization Project |
As the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is experiencing a significant transformation through what is now called the “Arab Spring,” it still has one of the most centralized government structures in the world. The goal of this project is to study the process of decentralization in the MENA countries. The project will also include analyses and information on related countries in neighboring regions particularly, Turkey, Central Asian republics, and countries in the Balkans. |
